Summe is designed to do math locally first. This page explains the few cases where information can leave your device.
Local by default
Summe is a calculator. Your calculations, sheets, settings, and app state are stored on your device unless you choose to share them.
The math engine runs on your device. Summe does not use a cloud math engine to evaluate your expressions.
Sharing
If you create a Summe share link, the calculation content you choose to share is uploaded to Summe servers so the link can work. A share may include the sheet title, description, calculator cells, results, formulas, and any plot or image content included in the shared sheet.
Share links are public to anyone who has the link. Do not share private, confidential, or sensitive information in a Summe share link.
To request deletion of a share, email info@summe.com with the share URL.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by the store where you installed Summe, such as Apple App Store, Google Play, Microsoft Store, or the Mac app distribution channel. Summe does not receive your full payment card details.
The app may store purchase status on your device so unlocked features remain available.
Support
If you email support, we receive the contact information and message content you send. We use it to answer your request and improve Summe.
Please avoid sending private calculations unless they are needed to explain the issue.
Website and server logs
When you visit summe.com or use a share link, basic request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, timestamps, and error logs may be processed by our hosting providers for security, reliability, abuse prevention, and operations.
Summe does not sell personal data, does not show third-party advertising, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
